Finally, Taiwan company ASUS is set to launch its #FlagshipRedefinedsmartphone ZenFone 5Z in India tomorrow. It will be the exclusive product of Flipkart.com. The partnership has helped the company keep the pricing competitive, in order to take on competition from Oneplus and Honor.
Asus recently launched its budget smartphone Zenfone Max Pro M1 , exclussively via Flipkart. That smartphone was a successful smartphone for asus company as it direct kills the India’s No.1 Smartphone brand Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 5 Pro. According to some youtubers & some reviewers, it is also said as ‘Redmi Killer Phone’.
Specifications :
The ASUS ZenFone 5Z comes with a 6.2-inch IPS LCD display with 1080 x 2246 resolution Full HD+ display and an 19:9 aspect ratio with a notch at the top. Protecting the display is a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass, although the company hasn’t specified the exact version.
Powering the ZenFone 5Z is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 octa-core processor clocked at 2.7 GHz with an Adreno 630 GPU. In terms of memory, the smartphone comes in 4GB, 6GB and 8GB RAM variants with up to 256GB of on board storage. The flagship smartphone does support memory expansion, although it uses a Hybrid Dual-SIM slot configuration instead of triple slots.

At the rear is a 12MP + 8MP dual camera setup with phase-detection autofocus and 4K video capture support. The primary sensor is coupled with an f/1.8 aperture lens, while the secondary lens has been coupled with an f/2.0 aperture. For selfies and video calls, the ZenFone 5Z has an 8MP selfie camera with an f/2.0 aperture and 1.12um pixel size which is perfect for low light photography.
Connectivity features include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac dual-band, Bluetooth 5.0 Low Energy, GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, NFC, FM radio, USB Type-C port, and 4G VoLTE. The fingerprint sensor on the ZenFone 5Z is mounted on the back, just like Zenfone max pro m1. This flagship smartphone packs with a 3300mAh capacity non-removable battery with 18W fast charging support.
The ASUS ZenFone 5Z also comes with dual speakers, Hi-Fi audio, and DTS Headphone X. In terms of dimensions, the flagship ASUS smartphone measures 153 x 75.7 x 7.9mm and weighs in at 155 grams. As far as the software is concerned, the ZenFone 5Z will ship with the Android 8.0 Oreo-based ZenUI 5.0 out of the box. It comes in just two colors – Midnight Blue and Meteor Silver.

According to some leaked news, this may be cost about from Rs.29,999 (6GB, 64GB), 8GB RAM with 128GB Internal storage may cost Rs.32,999 and there may be launched with 8GB RAM Zenfone 5z having 256GB internal storage which cost about as Rs.36,999.And these all variants will be exclusively sold via Flipkart.
The ‘flagship redefined’ tagline on the flipkart page does give us hope that the ZenFone 5Z will indeed be aggressively priced in India. ASUS managed to surprise everyone with the pricing of the ZenFone Max Pro M1 ,so we are expecting something very similar with the ZenFone 5Z.
